Stella is a licensed K-12 English as a Second Language and 5-12 English Language Arts Teacher. She completed her undergraduate education at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. After graduation, she was a Fulbright Fellow in Athens, Greece, where she taught English at the Hellenic-American Education Foundation. She earned her M.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at St. Cloud State University. Currently, she is studying for an MSc in Education, Public Policy & Equity at the University of Glasgow. She hopes to combine her passion for working with students with her interest in public policy to help create a more equitable education for multilingual learners. Stella's particular areas of interest lie in racial and gender equity in education and English language learners.
