DR MARÍA CARIDAD GARCÍA

Colombia - Associate Fellow
International Consultant in Gifted and Talented Education

María Caridad holds a PhD in Educational Psychology, Giftedness and Talent from the National Center for Research on Gifted Education at the University of Connecticut (USA), a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston System (USA) and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia). She is currently an International Consultant in Gifted and Talented Education. She held a position as Professor and Researcher at the School of Education of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 2001 to 2019. In addition, she has been a Lecturer, Consultant and Researcher in different education institutions, schools, local governments and universities in Chile and Colombia. She is a member of the Editorial Committee of a number of international education journals. As a researcher, María Caridad has published more than 30 articles related to gifted and talented education. She also explores topics such as teacher professional development, creativity, and curricular and instruction design. She is currently supporting the EPPE Network as an International Advisor for the EPPE_Lab programme in Latin America.
