Abass is a Commonwealth Scholar currently completing the MSc in Education, Public Policy and Equity at the University of Glasgow. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Biology Education after completing Teacher Training College in Nigeria. He has taught in both inclusive and non-inclusive schools, working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities. His area of research interests are Inclusive Education, Decolonization and STEM Education and Disability. He is a keen volunteer and community facilitator, having convened several initiatives for community development and engagement in Africa. He has successfully delivered community development projects for a number of communities in Nigeria with a prime focus on inclusion, equity and sustainable development. He believes strongly in developing Africa for Africans.
